Much obliged
I will never forget the first time he jogged by the stand at the second gap on the Churchill Downs backstretch when preparing for the 1994 Breeders' Cup Juvenile and the heads he turned that day.

Chart callers should be anonymous save for their finished work, but at the invitation from the connections of @HorseplayerNow I agreed to a brief interview concerning the information contained in Equibase charts and the outstanding record of chart callers who have worked for Equibase and Daily Racing Form. I would be remiss if I did not mention the late Deb Gore, Cliff Guilliams and Jack Kelly -- all mentors to me who worked as chart callers for Daily Racing Form.
Counting the days until we see him in the 2012 Arlington Million
From that time, the purpose of my poetry has been to fight injustice.
Whenever I could, I have portrayed it, revealed it. I have considered freedom the cardinal requirement of being a poet and have never bowed my head to any power or office."
...In any event, if we cannot do more, it is for us to do our best within our limits. It is a responsibility we can not refuse or deny. May the future be in our favor. Hoping for a better day, we take steps towards our convictions. Darkness will roll back. The light will spread like silver. We await a golden dawn.

Mr. McGrath is a turf writer very much worth following
Considering the condition of the course by post time of the Arlington Million, Cape Blanco's acceleration on the far turn and his authoritative finish made this year's renewal one to remember.
Treasure Beach (GB) triumphs at Arlington Park in the Grade I Secretariat Stakes
Was out out early this morning and caught ZACK HALL (FR) and PACHATTACK making their respective preparations for the Arlington Million and Beverly D. Stakes.
ZACK HALL (FR) is a solid bodied sort if lacking a bit in stature and gives the impression of a pure staying type. He wasn't asked for much in his two rounds over the main track this morning but gave an overall good impression that he has handled the demands of a Transatlantic flight. PACHATTACK looked the picture and the video capture displayed was of her return to her shedrow after galloping under a pull around the Arlington main track. Her readiness was particularly striking in light of her bullet work just three days prior. Still not entirely convinced her form on grass matches her form on the Arlington synthetic surface but her energy suggests she will be a significant factor when the battle is joined somewhere on the far turn at Arlington Park Saturday.
